Admission and Registration

All the prospective new and transfer students must submit the following documentation to the ACCT Admissions Office through mail delivery, online submission or in person:

  • Completed and signed application form (available www.acct.edu, along with a signed enrollment agreement and a signed Student Grievance Policy acknowledgement form.
  • A form of identification, normally a passport.
  • Evidence of a graduation from a state recognized or an accredited institution recognized by the US Department of Education or the equivalent to an accredited bachelor’s degree from a foreign college or university. Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work must be submitted. ACCT admissions staff will utilize the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (“AACRAO”) EDGE Database to assess the institution that has issued your credentials. All transcripts and related academic documents issued in language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
  • Affidavit of Support from a sponsor and/or a Bank Statement which indicates financial resources to cover tuition, books, room and board, health insurance, and other personal living expenses for up to one academic year. The bank statement must be current (not older than 6 months) and show a minimum balance of at least $15,500. If an international student is planning to bring their spouse and/or children then they have to show an additional $5,500 more for the spouse and $3,500 per child. A student bringing a spouse and/or children will also need to provide the following:
    • Copy of the spouse’s passport
    • Copy of marriage certificate
    • Copy of each child’s passport
    • Copy of each child’s birth certificate
  • Students transferring into ACCT from a school within the U.S. may also need to provide the following additional documents:
    • Copy of F-1 Student Visa and I-94 form
    • Copy of all I-20s
    • Official Transcripts from your current school.

Language Proficiency Requirements

To satisfy ACCT English proficiency requirement International students pursuing an Associate and Bachelor’s degree at ACCT must provide one of the following:

  • IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
  • TOEFL score of 513 or higher (paper-based), 65 or higher (Internet-based), or 183 (computer-based).
  • PTE score of 47 or higher
  • Successful completion of an ESL program from an accredited (an accredited agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or US Department of Education) American college or university
  • Graduation from an accredited (an accredited agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or US Department of Education) American college with an associate’s degree or higher
  • Completion of at least three undergraduate-level courses from an accredited (an accredited agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the US Department of Education) American university with grades of “C“ or higher

An International student wishing to pursue an associate’s degree at ACCT may also show English proficiency through graduation from an American English language high school with a standard high school diploma or higher.

International students pursuing a Master degree at ACCT must provide one of the following:

  • IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
  • TOEFL score of 550 or higher (paper-based), 80 or higher (Internet-based), or 213 (computer-based).
  • PTE score of 52 or higher
  • Completed ESL program from an accredited (an accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or U.S. Department of Education) college or university.
  • Graduation from an accredited (an accredited agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or US Department of Education) American college with a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Completion of at least two graduate-level courses from an accredited (an accredited agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the US Department of Education) American university with grades of “B-“or higher.

Transfer Students

Please note that you will be required to provide the following documents listed below in addition to the admission requirements.
  • Copy of F-1 Student Visa and I-94 form
  • Copy of all I-20s
  • Official Transcripts from your current University
